Japanzaka is operated by TechNeko LLC (TechNeko合同会社), Nihon Property Bldg. 802, 4-5-3 Tenma, Kita-ku, Osaka 530-0043, Japan. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: support@tech-neko.com.

• Orders: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, the items you buy and order amounts.
• Account (optional): your email address and a password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider; we never see it), plus any name, phone number and addresses you save.
• Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
• Technical: a sign-in cookie, a cookie that remembers your chosen currency, and your cart stored in your own browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

• To process, ship and support your orders (performance of a contract).
• To run your account, if you create one.
• To keep records required by Japanese tax and accounting law (legal obligation).
• To prevent fraud and keep the store secure (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Only with service providers that help us run the store, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Supabase — database and accounts (servers in Frankfurt, Germany).
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Shipping carriers (e.g. Japan Post, DHL) and customs authorities — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your parcel.

We disclose personal information to no other third party except where required by law.

We operate from Japan, so your information is accessed and processed in Japan. The European Commission has recognised Japan as providing an adequate level of data protection. Our service providers may also process data in other countries under appropriate safeguards.

Order and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet Japanese tax law. Account data is kept until you delete your account. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email support@tech-neko.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
